User Microsoft 365 Apps Freeze when Trying to Save
Having a strange issue with one of our users when using Microsoft 365 Apps on a Windows 11 system. The original behavior reported was when he was trying to save a document to OneDrive. He gets a processing box but it never completes and the app freezes. Then he noticed if you just did a Save As from any of the Office Apps you get the blank page and the app freezes. Sometimes a reboot resolves the issue but only for a short time. Here are some items we have tried to this point: Have tried pausing synching in OneDrive repairing office 365 Reinstalling office 365 Saved to downloads > Can reopen document but when trying to save as again the page is blank. Will either have to force close in task manager or let it sit until "waiting for another application to complete an OLE action" then closing Pausing auto save to cloud in word/outlook/excel Disconnecting the OneDrive sync and re-connecting seem to work at first but after an hour or so we saw the same behavior. We decided to set him up on a brand new system and after we set things up the issue followed. We are seeing the same behavior on the new system. One item of note is we have a third laptop which has an old version of Office using the ODT installer which is working fine with his account. The other two laptops that are failing have the latest Office 365 software downloaded from the portal. Not sure if this is an issue on the backend with his account or some other type of issue. Just wanted to see if anyone has ran into this issue before. Thanks.
Mention shared Mailboxes in Loop
Hey, my colleague is trying to setup a list of shared mailboxes and and mentions the mailboxes with @ It works for a few mailboxes but most of them cannot be mentioned because of IT policies. I couldn't find any policy that I can change to solve this Problem. Do you guys have an idea what might cause this? I've attached some screenshots. Kind regards, Mario
Microsoft Sway - Restricting Access to Templates
Hi all, We are assessing the usage of Sway for internal project and change communications, and have a concern that those with access to Sway could create content which does not follow internal approved designs and patterns. Are there mechanisms in place to allow us to control which templates the content creator could use as a baseline for their content, whether that involves access to explicitly approved templates only (workflows for approvals??), or restricting access to marketplace or generally available content? 24 hour format - Onedrive
Good afternoon. My time format in OneDrive, on the regional site is 24 hours. But the file history or file change history in OneDrive is shown in 12 hours. An example If I make a change to a file at 14:00, OneDrive shows 02:00 Here in Spain we use 24 hours as the preferred format and for our company with more than 100 employees it is important to control this well. How to allow B2B users in Microsoft Places workgroups?
Our company recently purchased another company. While we are preparing migrating users from the two legacy tenants to a new, third tenant, we collaborate with each other using Cross Tenant Synch and Cross Tenant Access. I am currently testing out Places, but I am unable to add my team members from the other company to a Workgroup in Places: "1 user(s) couldn't be added, the administrator has disabled adding these user(s) to any workgroup". Any idea how/where I can change this? I am Global Admin.Question about Team/Group Calendar
I’m curious if anyone has any answers or suggestions for the following scenario: Within my organization, I’d like to create a single M365 team containing all departments. Within MS Teams, each department would have its own Channel under that one all-encompassing team, where they could schedule meetings, communicate, share files, etc. Each department has roughly 5 team members and there are 8 departments, so let’s say this all-encompassing team will contain 40-45 members total. Each department schedules weekly status meetings. My vision is to have a single shared calendar containing weekly status meetings of all departments, and I’d like for all team members across all departments to be able to see that shared calendar, but here’s the challenge: I don’t want each team member to have all department meetings display on their own work calendar, so they’re not confused as to what meetings they actually need to join versus just be aware of, but only display meetings they are individually invited to. I would however like if they had the ability to see all team meetings if they are looking at the greater Team/Group calendar in Outlook. I also don’t want all team members to be notified about other department/channel meetings, for example if it’s cancelled or rescheduled. I only want them notified about meetings they as an individual are invited to. Is there functionality or workarounds that support this scenario? Thanks in advance!
