Streaming teams live events to TV screens

We currently utilise Teams live events to broadcast news / updates throughout the business. The majority of users join the live event from their Teams desktop app.

I'm looking into a way of streaming those live events on our TV screens throughout the Head office buildings (canteen, break out rooms etc).

We currently use BrightSign digital signage devices on the TV's to show URL's etc.

I've read up on creating a live stream in YouTube / Vimeo, collecting the stream URL & Key, then adding that to the new 'Custom Streaming' app in Teams, which effectively broadcasts the live event to YouTube / Vimeo. My only concern with this is that I want the Teams live event to remain 'private', however I don't want to have to enter login credentials on the TV screens.

Has anyone come up with a creative way of achieving this?

Thanks in advance

tricky778 You are on the right track with your thinking of pushing the stream to a server. There are several RTMP server products both commercial and open-source which will allow you to keep the stream on your private network vs public CDN. For a handful of viewer devices you can use a small VM instance.

The other option you might want to investigate is pushing the stream to a multicast address on the LAN. This might require a conversation with your campus network team to see if MC is enabled and what IP Address to use.
