Hi BryanNyce
We are currently testing teams townhalls as a replacement for Live Events and have encountered several stress points that I am hoping you can assist with as Townhall currently doesn't appear to be a like for like replacement for Teams Live Events (TLE).
- Once you publish a meeting you are unable to amend the settings from Org-Wide to public (currently able to do so in TLE until the broadcast has begun) is there any plans to change this?
- We have noticed if you add extra presenters (internal or external) after the event has been published then they will receive the invite but be unable to join the call.
If internal they will be admitted as attendee, if external it will advise “you do not have permission to join this call” do you have a work around for this?
- the meeting invite does not seem to contain a VTC ID to enable VC Rooms utilising CVI to join as presenters. Is this on the roadmap?
If so, then will they be able to access the green room as I have noticed in team's webinar when greenroom is enabled a VC Room is unable to access the call until the broadcast is started which is problematic as we are unable to test the audio/video prior to broadcast commencing.
- No ability to control queueing of content. Is this on the roadmap and if so, can you advise when it's expected to be released?
- The Q&A filter by “Unanswered Questions” doesn’t seem to be working as if you mark a question as closed or reply to the question as a presenter / co-organiser it is still showing in the “Unanswered question filter”.
Will there also be the option to filter by most liked / most recent & will there be the option to delete questions once answered and then download the Q&A report that includes deleted questions as you can currently do with Live Event?
- The meeting chat in the townhall call appears to be broken as it will remain continuously blank. However, if I open up the primary team's window and go to the team's dropdown menu with all meeting chats then I can see and interact with the townhall chat.
Thank you for your assistance and advice.
